Pastificio Sacchetto Montreal—When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking

When we last visited Montreal (summer of 2018) we were fortunate to be staying at an apartment located a short walk away from the Jean Talon Market.  Not only did that allow us to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, but to browse for pastries, meats, bread, and pasta.  Needless to say, some days you just don’t feel like cooking and want something easy and tasty that can be quickly prepared at home at an affordable price.  Despite having acquired a number of goodies at the market, we couldn’t resist stopping at Pastificio Sacchetto where we bought some mushroom stuffed ravioli, and a batch of Rose sauce to have with it.  Their formal address is: 7070 Henri Julien Ave, Montreal, QC. Canada which is in the heart of the Little Italy area of Montreal at the east end of the Jean Talon Market.

As former residents of Montreal, my wife and I would occasionally drive to the market on a Sunday morning and we’d often come back with a purchase from Pastificio Sacchetto, so we were familiar with their quality products.

Their specialties include meat & cheese ravioli, tortellini, medaglioni stuffed with ricotta and veal, cappelletti, cannelloni, gnocchi di patate and tagliatelle. But there’s more than that—have a look at this link to see more:

The bottom line is that everything tastes like it was homemade, whether you buy it fresh or frozen and their Rose pasta sauce is simply delicious with well balanced flavour and just the right consistency.  Frankly many restaurants do not measure up when you compare them to these shop bought products.

Note: I need to point out that my review is an honest opinion and I did not (and will not), receive any renumeration or products for from Pastificio Sacchetto for my endorsement of this enterprise.  This is a non solicited review and I am not affiliated with them in any way.  I hope that they continue providing the quality products and services and that they never compromise them in any way so that they can be enjoyed by all.
